Men's Basketball Looks to End Regular Season on a High Note

LAKELAND, Fla.- The No. 19 ranked Southeastern University men's basketball team will head into the final week of the regular season as they hold onto a 21-6 overall record and 11-4 Sun Conference record. The regular season will round out with a contest in West Palm Beach against Keiser University at 7:30 p.m.

The Seahawks will come into the final week with a 12-13 overall record and 6-8 record in SUN play and are looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses to Warner University and Florida College last week. The team from West Palm Beach currently holds an average of 72.6 points per game with a 43.4 field goal percentage and 36.5 three-point percentage. Core'von Lott leads the team in points with 369 and an average of 15.4 per game while Quinton Glaspie leads the defense with 163 rebounds for 6.8 per game.

The Fire picked up a big win against Florida Memorial on Senior Day this weekend as they took the 74-71 victory after dropping three of their last five SUN contests. The nationally ranked Fire average 82.5 points per game and have posted a 46.5 field goal percentage and 35.9 three-point percentage as they rank first nationally in three-pointers made and attempted per game. Riley Minix has been the shining star for the Fire as he has accounted for nearly 30% of the Fire's point total with 619 while averaging a double-double with 22.9 points per game and 10.9 rebounds per game. Jordan Gorman has recently emerged as the Fire's second leading scorer with 288 total points, largely aided by his 46.5 three-point percentage and team-high 72 three pointers. Reggie Messidor has been an efficient option for the Fire as he comes in second with 21.3 points per 40 minutes.

These two programs met once previously this season when the Fire took the 89-57 victory behind a 26 point effort from Gorman.
