LAKELAND, Fla. - The No. 1 Fire Women's Basketball team remained undefeated in Sun Conference play after defeating the Florida Memorial Lions 88-58.
The Fire took a 9-4 lead and showed no signs of slowing down for the remainder of the half.Southeastern put together a 19-6 run to put themselves up 21 before heading into the half.
Coming out of the half, the Fire continued to capitalize off turnovers and led by as many as 25 points with five minutes to go in the third quarter. Southeastern continued the fourth quarter in the same. Fashion and lead as many as 31 with 2:40 remaining in the game.
As a team, Southeastern shot 52.4% from the field, 50% from the three-point line, and 85.7% from the free throw line.
Angela Perry led the Fire with 21 points and added six rebounds and three assists. Perry shot 80% from the field and made both her three point attempts. Raegan Linster added 16 points and two steals and two rebounds.
The top rank Fire will head down to West Palm Beach, Fla. to face Keiser University Thursday, February 17th.
