LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern won six of the seven contested matches and won five of those with bonus points to come away with a 50-3 win over Brewton-Parker Thursday night.
The Fire (12-3) got its first fall of the night at the 4:42 mark of the 133-pound match from senior
Michael Bush to take a 6-3 lead.
Kael Brisker needed just 93 seconds to record a 16-0 technical fall win. Southeastern won at 149 and 157 by forfeit and got a pin from
Wyatt Kirkham 52 seconds into the 165-pound bout.
In his senior night match at 125,
Esau Bazilme battled sixth-ranked Dennis McNeal hard leading the match after an escape to start the second period. McNeal scored a takedown late to come away with a 5-1 win.
"Zo had the toughest match of the night but battled him hard and he'll get another chance at him next week," said coach
Travis Patrick. "
Michael Bush gave up a takedown early and continued to battle and got the job done, so it was good for him to go out on that note."
Dominick Lomazzo (1:08) and
Trillyon Fils-Aime (2:12) added wins by fall at 174 and 197, respectively.
Caleb Hardeman closed the night with a 7-5 decision at 285.
