Women's Basketball Faces No. 11 Saints this Week

LAKELAND, Fla.- After dropping their last contest by a score of 73-48 to Division II program, Rollins College, Southeastern women's basketball will take on their fourth NAIA Top 25 ranked opponent of the season on Tuesday as they host No. 11 Carroll College at 2 p.m. for their final home contest of the calendar year.
 
The Fire currently average 74.7 points per contest and have posted a field goal percentage of 40%. Gabby Suarez leads the Fire scoring with an average of 18.8 points per contest while Kiki Britzmann has averaged 16.3 points per game and shot 53% from the field in her last four contests. Southeastern has recently been without their most successful three-point shooter in Raegan Linster due to injury as Linster has posted a three-point percentage of 35% after going 20-57 from distance. Linster also leads the defense with an average of 9.8 rebounds per game and 88 total despite missing the last three contests. Emilia Sexton leads the Fire in both assists and steals with 48 helpers and 30 steals.
 
Carroll College will come into the contest with an 8-4 record with losses coming against No. 1 Thomas More, No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan, No. 10 Lewis-Clark State, and No. 23 Southern Oregon and average 61.3 points per contest behind a .425 field goal percentage. Defense has been the strong point of the Saints' play as they allow just 54 points per game and have held their opponents to a field goal percentage of .383. Jamie Pickens leads the rebounding effort with an average of 6.1 per game while also leading the Saints in scoring with 166 total points (13.8/game). Senior Kamden Hillborn is coming off a triple-double performance against Warner University last contest as she tallied 11 points, 18 rebounds, and 13 assists.
 
The Fire and the Saints have met only one other time with the Fire taking the 67-60 victory back on October 23^rd, 2021 on the road.
