Stage Set for SUN Semifinal against SCAD-Savannah

LAKELAND, Fla.- The No. 9 ranked Southeastern University women's team (12-2-2, 6-1-1 SUN) will open their Sun Conference Tournament in the semifinal against SCAD-Savannah on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Lakeland and will advance to the championship matchup on Friday with a victory.
 
The second-seeded Fire and third-seeded Bees faced off on October 29th in Lakeland with the Fire posting a 4-0 shutout of No. 12 ranked Bees after getting goals from Ariadna Lozano, Naira Lopez, and two from Ramsey Watkins.
 
Collectively, the Fire have found the back of the net 49 times on the season, 10 of which have come from the team's leading scorer, Lopez. Lopez has also assisted on four goals while Karissa King and Watkins have each accumulated 13 points. The offense averages 3.06 goals per game and 16.9 shots per game and have accumulated a .504 shot on goal percentage. Defensively, the Fire have posted eight shutouts including three in their last three contests to post 332 scoreless minutes heading into the tournament. Keeper Holly Eddins holding a .785 save percentage with 51 saves on 65 shots faced.
 
The Bees currently hold a 14-3-1 record (5-2-1 SUN) and advanced to the semifinals with a 3-1 quarterfinal victory over Webber International on Saturday. Averaging 3.83 goals per game and 21.3 shots per game, the Bees have outscored their competitors 69-22 and have posted a .563 shot on goal percentage on the backs of the top two offensive players in the Sun Conference. Ines Sommer and Abigail Siddall have combined for 29 goals and 14 assists while Berglind Baldursdott leads the SUN in assists with 15. Zoe Goodale holds a .746 save percentage through 16 games played and ahs collected 47 saves.
