LAKELAND, Fla.—The season came to an end for the No. 9 Fire women's soccer team with a 1-0 loss to No. 15 Westmont in the second round of the NAIA National Tournament.

A goal in the 62nd minute from Amarys Machado who scored on a feed from Karly Kinglsey was the lone tally in the contest.

During the first half, the Fire had the edge in shots at 5-4 with the best chance coming on a penalty kick in the 28th minute that was saved by Meyer to energize her team.

In the second half, the Fire were outshot 6-3 and registered just two shots on goal following the Westmont goal and found difficultly maintaining possession.
