LAKELAND, Fla.- The No. 17 ranked Southeastern men's basketball team (2-2, 0-1 SUN) will head into two conference contests this week as they host the College of Coastal Georgia on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Thomas University on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Fire are looking for redemption after dropping their first SUN contest of the season last week to Ave Maria by a score of 79-76 on the road.

Collectively, Southeastern averages 82.3 points per game behind a .476 field goal percentage and .314 three-point percentage. Riley Minix currently sits as the Fire's leading scorer, averaging double-double numbers of 28 points and 16.7 rebounds per contest and shooting 60% from the field. From behind the three-point arc, Reggie Messidor has converted half of his shots going an impressive 11-22 from distance while also leading the Fire in assists with 11. Sean Shore averages nearly a double-double with 11.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per contest.

The Mariners of Coastal Georgia begin the week with a 1-3 overall record with their one win coming against the receiving votes Reinhardt University by a score of 88-85. Through their four contests, the Mariners have posted a field goal percentage of 39.7% for an average of 71.3 points per game. Nick Jiles has been efficient from the field, registering a team-high 74 points behind a 52.4 three-point percentage while Mason McMurray has posted a team-best field goal percentage of 53.2%. McMurray also leads the defense with 47 rebounds for an average of 11.8 per game.

Holding a 2-2 record and coming off an 85-75 win over Texas A&M Texarkana, the Night Hawks of Thomas University have been led by Tim Williamson and Mohammed Abubakar. Williamson has accumulated an average of 11.3 points per game with a .485 field goal percentage while Abubaker sits just behind with 43 total points and a team leading 30 rebounds. The Night Hawks will have two more contests before facing the Fire and will look to add on to their 77.8 point per game average and 45.3 field goal percentage.
