LAKELAND, Fla.- In the final week of the regular season, the No. 10 ranked Southeastern University women's soccer team will compete against Thomas University on the road on Tuesday at 1 p.m. and will await the results of other contests around the Sun Conference for their placement in the Sun Conference Tournament beginning on Saturday.
The tenth ranked Fire will begin the week averaging 3.13 goals per game and outscoring their opponents 47 to 14 with a .498 shot on goal percentage and average of 16.9 shots per game.
Naira Lopez and
Ramsey Watkins have been the top offensive producers for the Fire thus far with Lopez collecting 24 total points on 10 goals and four assists and Watkins collecting five goals and three assists. Graduate transfer
Karissa King has also contributed to the offense with four goals and four assists. Keeper
Holly Eddins has posted five shutouts and a 10-2-2 record and has allowed just 14 goals on 63 shots faced.
The Night Hawks of Thomas University (8-3-4, 3-1-3 SUN) are coming off a 1-0-1 week where they defeated Florida Memorial by a score of 6-1 and tied the receiving votes Bobcats of St. Thomas 0-0. Currently sitting at fourth place in the Sun Conference, the Night Hawks have outscored their opponents 46-21 and average 3.1 goals per contest. The offense has managed 17.2 shots per game and have accumulated a .508 shot on goal percentage. Analeice Wilkes currently sits in a tie for second in the Sun Conference in goals with 14 and has also assisted on four others for 32 total points. Through 13 contests, Emily Lamoreaux has posted an .810 save percentage with 64 saves in 79 shots faced.
