LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern won both of its matches during Tuesday's tri-match with 3-0 wins over Trinity Baptist and Johnson University of Florida.
The Fire started with a monster offensive effort against Trinity Baptist posting a .438 team attacking percentage to win 25-4, 25-12, 25-11.
Leading the attack was
Sylvia Liszewski with 10 kills on 16 attacks. Sophomore
Danielle White added six kills on nine attacks and an ace.
Emily Eurice assisted on 18 of SEU's 37 kills with
Angelina Vaccaro adding nine helpers.
On defense,
Chapel Cunningham played just one set and had four total blocks.
Holly Kaczmarek added 12 digs in just two sets.
Against Johnson, the team attacking percentage went up to .486 with the Fire committing just six attack errors in 74 swings and holding the Suns to just 12 total kills in the match.
Freshman
Sandy Cao had 17 kills on 25 attempts without an error for a .680 attack percentage. Additionally, Cao added five aces and five digs.
Jordyn Stiger added 10 kills with a .600 success rate with three total blocks and a dig.
Of SEU's 42 kills,
Alexandra Postlethwaite assisted on 32.
Kaczmarek added 14 digs.
The Fire return to Sun Conference play Wednesday night at Coastal Georgia.
