Aitor Granero started off strong with his first goal of the season three minutes into the game assisted by Eduardo Venutolo. Only nine minutes later, Venutolo scored back-to-back goals in less than a minute to give the Fire a 3-0 lead over the Falcons 12 minutes into the match.

Julian Hall found the back of the net in the 24th minute with an assist from Jack Miller to pull ahead 4-0. Following the goal, the Fire substituted all starting players due to the large lead.
