MOUNT VERNON, Ga.- The No. 5 Southeastern University women's soccer team found themselves battling from a deficit for the majority of the day. However, the Fire showed once again they are able to play through the pressure, as they stormed back to defeat the Brewton-Parker College Barons 2-1 in overtime thanks to graduate forward
Aisha Solorzano's golden goal.
The Barons struck first in the 30th minute on a goal by Kadisha Martina to take a 1-0 lead over the Fire.
Despite outshooting BPC 11-5, including 6-1 in shots on frame, in the first half, SEU would trail the Barons 1-0 heading into the locker room.
