LAKELAND, Fla.- After a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory against the receiving votes Grace College Lancers on Saturday, the Southeastern University men's soccer team will look to carry that momentum into two home contests this week as they take on Trinity College on Tuesday at 7 p.m. and Bryan College Saturday at 7 p.m.

The week begins with a matchup against the NCCAA Tigers of Trinity College. First year head coach Robert Rivers III was a member of the Fire's men's soccer program that claimed the 2006 NCCAA Division II National Championship title.

The Fire will then take on the Lions of Bryan College on Saturday at 7 p.m. in another home competition and look to add to their 1-0 history record against the Lions. These two teams last met on April 13
th, 2021 when the Fire walked away with a narrow 1-0 victory after
Eric Ugarte netted his first goal of the season 74 minutes into the match. The Lions are currently 1-1 on the season and have combined 14 shots on goal including 11 against Trinity Baptist College in their 8-2 victory as Felipe Teruel netted three of the Lions eight goals.

As a team, the Fire average two goals and 12.7 shots per game and outdo their opponents with a .605 shot on goal percentage and has seen six goals by six different players. Returners Ben-Avir-Espinal,
Colin Horn,
Reece Riggins, and Ugarte have all recorded a goal through their three games played with Horn's coming in the form of a game winner in overtime over Grace College while freshman
William Durrance and
Marcello Cruz each netted their first collegiate goals on Saturday against the Lancers. Veterans
Carlos Curado and
Jonathan Wojciki have split time in the goal thus far with Curado registering three saves out of seven opportunities and a 1-1 record while Wojciki has recorded six saves and only two goals allowed to give him a .750 save percentage.
