LAKELAND, Fla. – A wild finish allowed the No. 2 Southeastern University baseball team to walk-off against the Florida Memorial Lions 3-2.

Pedro Castellano bloop single to shallow right field advanced Zach Comins to second base, who then stole third as no FMU player was covering third base. Comins then scored on a throwing error when the Lions recovery throw to third was too high.
"Right when I got to second, I looked to coach Dinkel at third and I noticed the third baseman was creeping away from the bag," said Comins. "I was waiting for coach to give me the signal to go and when he did I ran as fast as I could."
It was a pitcher's duel throughout the contest as both starters were able to keep the opposing lineups at bay.
Christian Camacho got the start and completed 7.2 innings on 120 pitches, giving up two runs on four hits while striking out nine batters.
After the game Camacho talked about what enabled to keep going despite the high pitch count, " I was just trying to throw everything I could, throw with intent, and put everything on the line because it's a close game."
Camacho allowed only one hit after Florida Memorial took a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning.
The Fire were shutout at the plate after the first inning when
Sam Faith singled in Castellano for the first run of the game.
Luis Cabrera got the Fire back in scoring column and tied the game at 2-2 in eighth with his RBI single that scored
Nick Bottari before Comins scored the game-winning run in the ninth.
Southeastern (35-4, 13-3 TSC) completes the three-game series against FMU tomorrow with a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 12:00 pm.
