LAKELAND, Fla.—The 11-game Southeastern University football schedule was released this evening, featuring five home games and a possible sixth.
The Fire begin their eighth season of competition in a similar way that it started its first; with a trip to Faulkner.
On September 18
th, the Fire will host Thomas More University for the first time in program history.
Following a trip to Williamsburg, Ky. to face University of the Cumberlands, Southeastern begins Mid-South Sun Division play on the road October 2
nd at Webber International, then will host Ave Maria a week later for its first home division game.
"We are excited to get back to some normalcy and a regular season schedule in 2021," said coach
Cesar Rivas-Sandoval who enters his second season with the Fire. "We have a great group of young men and I'm looking forward to them taking the field on August 28th. Getting our first full offseason with our guys has shown some great progress and has helped us develop our culture."
The annual homecoming game will take place on October 23
rd against Polk County rival Warner after traveling to defending Sun Division champion Keiser.
Southeastern will close the regular season with back-to-back home games in St. Andrews University on November 6
th and the first meeting in program history with Florida Memorial on the 13
th.
