Walk-Off Win Highlights Softball Split at Gulf Shores

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GULF SHORES, Ala.—Southeastern completed a 3-1 trip to the Gulf Coast Invitational with a 3-2 win over Williams Baptist following a 3-1 loss to Texas A&M-Texarkana to move to 13-6 on the season.
 
The Fire had a 1-0 lead heading to the seventh against Texarkana after Madison Williams scored on a Kaley Sarasty single in the bottom of the sixth. A single, a pair of walks, and a triple put TAMUT on top.
 
Against Williams Baptist, the Fire got two runs in the third, both coming with two outs with Williams and Katie Atkins hitting back-to-back RBI singles. Williams Baptist answered with runs in the fifth and sixth to tie the game.
 
In the bottom of the seventh, the Fire loaded the bases with three straight singles to set up Sam Holcomb's game-winning single to left.
 
The Fire return to action on Monday against Grand View for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
