Men's Basketball Comes Up Short at Keiser
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—The Fire struggled through the second half in their game at Keiser Thursday night, yet still had opportunities to force overtime late.
Southeastern was just 1-of-13 from 3-point range in the second half in a 63-60 loss to the Seahawks.
An offensive rebound by
Devon Ford led to a put back with 1:21 to play to cut the deficit to three. A Keiser turnover on the ensuing possession gave the Fire their first chance at the tie, but turned it over themselves. The Fire would have two more chances at a game-tying 3-pointer off defensive stops, but missed one shot, and was unable to get off another at the horn on the game's final possession.

During the second half, Keiser was 50% from the field, making 13 total field goals with seven of them 3-pointers to outscore SEU 40-26.
A 13-2 run by Keiser in the first 3:33 tied the game at 36. The Seahawks went on to lead by as much as nine with 7:01 to play and again with 5:44 left.
Reggie Mesidor led the Fire with 19 points, going 6-of-6 at the free throw line, and hauled in five rebounds. Ford added eight points and a team-high nine rebounds.
