Lakeland, Fla. - The Southeastern University women's soccer team is heading on the road for the next two regular season games against William Carey University Thursday, February 3rd at 6 p.m. and University of Mobile Saturday, February 6th at 2 p.m.
The Fire are currently 13-0-1 (9-0-0 TSC) and look to remain undefeated. The Fire have 48 goals scored on the season averaging 3.43 goals per game opposed to their opponents who have scored only seven goals on the season averaging 0.5 goals per game.
Aisha Solorzano leads the Fire in scoring with 12 goals. Naira Lopez added nine goals herself and led the team with 12 assists accounting for 30 points. Lopez was responsible for the lone tally score against The Master's University this past weekend.
Holly Eddins has faced 55 shots and made 48 saves.
The William Carey Crusaders are 2-0-1 on the season coming off a victory against The Master's University. The Crusaders are scoring seven goals as a team averaging 2.33 per game. Marina Sornet leads the way with two goals of her own. The Fire and the Crusaders last met in the NAIA National Tournament in 2018 and the Crusaders came out on top 4-2. The Fire trail the Crusaders 2-0 in their all time matchups both in the NAIA National Tournament. Aisha Solorzano has had previous success against the Crusaders in the Semifinals of the NAIA National Tournament in 2018 and has scored a goal.
The University of Mobile Rams are 1-3 on the season. Shannie Chaisson leads the Rams in scoring with 2 goals on the year. Maria Alejandra Diaz Linder leads the team in saves with 13. This will be the first time in history that the Fire and the Rams meet. The Rams are coming off a 10-7 season last year in 2019. That year they scored 45 goals overall and made an appearance at the NAIA National Tournament.
