MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.—Southeastern nearly rallied back from a sluggish start but ended up on the short end of a 4-3 match at St. Thomas on Saturday.
After being swept in doubles play, the Fire came back with a win at No. 6 Singles by
Abigail Damon and No. 1 Singles by
Beatrice Letizia, then
Gabby Marshall at No. 5 to tie the match.
Priscila Baptista forced a third set after dropping the first, 6-4 and came back with a 6-3 win, but dropped the third 6-4.
The Fire return to action on Monday at home against Spring Arbor University.
