Thomasville, GA.- In their last regular season matchup, the Southeastern University women's basketball team took down the Thomas University Night Hawks by a score of 72-20 to finish the regular season undefeated in Sun Conference play with an overall record of 22-2.

In the first quarter, the Fire went down after a good Night Hawk three pointer but responded quickly with an uninterrupted 13 point run which included
Haley Howarth's 70
th recorded three pointer of the season.
Carmen Handy ended the first quarter with two made free throws as the Fire took the 13-3 lead.

Madi Hecox and Ozoude continued the Fire scoring in the second quarter with Ozoude recording four more points throughout the first five minutes and Hecox recording five consecutive points within a minute of play to stretch the Fire lead to 22-7.
Rebecca Cook then recorded her first points of the game with a good three pointer.
Jade Odom closed out the second quarter with two made free throws advancing the Fire lead to 22 going into halftime. The Fire were able to sustain a field goal percentage of 50% in the first and second quarter while going a perfect 8-8 from the free throw line.

The third quarter opened up with two good three pointers by Handy and Hecox to put the Fire up 38-14 with seven still remaining in the quarter.
Bernada Rreshpja followed with her first points of the game after another Fire three pointer and a good layup off of
Bekki Kalaydjiev's fourth assist of the day. The Fire ended the third quarter with a 48-16

Howarth registered a good layup followed by her second three pointer of the day to begin the final 10 minutes of play. Hecox then went on a seven-point run with 3:24 to play as the Fire would go on to secure the 72-20 victory over Thomas.

Ozoude was the Fire's leading scorer with 18 points as well as seven rebounds and six blocks. Hecox recorded 15 points due to her 6-9 effort from the field and two three pointers. Kalaydjiev finished the night with a team high five assists. As a team, the Fire finished the game with a 48.2 field goal percentage and seven total three pointers.

The Fire have clinched a spot in the Sun Conference Tournament and will take on Warner University on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at home in the quarterfinal game.
