Lakeland, Fla.- The Southeastern University women's soccer team will face off against Middle Georgia State this week at home on Saturday at 3 p.m.
The 0-1-1 Knights of Middle Georgia State will open up their spring season against the Fire after playing only two games in the fall while the Sun Conference Champions are coming off of a 4-1 victory over the University of Mobile last Saturday where four different Fire players recorded a goal including senior
Aisha Solorzano who now has recorded 13 goals in as many games played.
Naira Lopez also scored against the Rams bringing her total to 10 on the season while freshman
Anne-Clara Couturier also found the back of the net for the eighth time this season. Junior
Hanna Ryberg also recorded her first goal in a Fire uniform. Junior goal-keeper
Holly Eddins currently holds a record of 13-1 and has recorded 58 saves through 16 games while allowing only 10 goals.
Maria Garcia and Miagh Downey are responsible for the two Knight's goals in Middle Georgia's two fall matchups.
The Fire average 3.31 goals per game and have recorded 53 goals on the season while allowing only 10 from their opponents.
The last matchup between these two programs dates back to the 2018 season when the Fire shutout the Knights by a score of 9-0.
