LAKELAND, Fla.—The Southeastern University men's basketball team hits the road to face Webber International this week in their lone game of the week.

The Fire suffered two more losses last week after taking leads into halftime. Against Keiser, SEU took an 11-point lead into halftime before the Seahawks came back to win by three. It was a similar story against Coastal Georgia on Saturday as the Fire led by five at halftime in the 75-64 loss.

Sophomore Reggie Mesidor led the team in scoring in both outings with 19 points against Keiser and 18 against Coastal Georgia., improving his season average to 15.2 PPG.

Southeastern has remained stout on defense as they lead the conference in defensive shooting percentage, allowing opponents to shoot just 41.7% from the field.

Webber International (9-18, 5-12 TSC) hosts SEU this week with both squads looking to break losing streaks as the Warriors have dropped four-straight.  Senior guard Jaylon Myles leads WIU with 16.9 PPG and is shooting 44% from the field. Webber is ranked second in the NAIA in steals with 227 and senior guard Rasheem Etienne ranks third with 56 steals on the season.

Southeastern won the previous matchup with the Warriors this season 66-56. Mesidor and Karl Jeanty led the team with 15 points while Sean Shore and Alaowei-Talent Fitzgerald added 13 points apiece. SEU is looking to improve their all-time advantage against Webber to 16-9.
