Box Score LAKELAND, Fla.- The RV Southeastern University Fire men's basketball team were edged out in an entertaining contest to commence the SEU Christmas Invitational by the RV Olivet Nazarene University Tigers 67-63 Friday afternoon.

Riley Minix posted his eighth double-double of the season in the valiant effort by the Fire, scoring a game-high 24 points and hauling in 12 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season.
The Fire had an overall tough night shooting as a team, going 35.2% (25-71) from the field, including 28.2% (11-39). Additionally, the Fire were only able to get to the free-throw line for two trips on the night, where they were 2-4.
After trailing by as many as 11 in the second half, SEU manufactured a 22-8 run to take a 51-49 lead over the Tigers with 8:49 to go in the game. However, ONU was able to go a perfect 6-6 at the free throw line in the final 1:08 of the game to help guide them to victory.

Reggie Mesidor, who had 11 points and was 4-8 from the field.
The Fire look to close out the invitational with a win versus Trinity Christian tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. inside The Furnace.
