LAKELAND, Fla.- The receiving votes Southeastern University men's basketball team will have two chances to add to their 3-0 Sun Conference record this week as they take on Webber International in Babson Park, Fla. on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and the Royals of Warner at home in the Furnace on Saturday at 7 p.m.

The Fire are coming off of a 1-1 effort at The Show in Kingsport, Tennessee and were one basket away from an undefeated weekend after falling 76-75 to West Virginia University Institute of Technology. Despite the first game loss the Fire bounced back in a big way to take down the receiving votes Union College 74-70 on the back of a 35 point performance by
Riley Minix.
Ralph Diaz also recorded a double-double against Union after dropping 10 points and 13 rebounds.

The week will kick off against the 3-7 Warriors who are coming off of an 0-2 weekend at the CU Thanksgiving Classic where they dropped contests to Campbellsville University (79-60) and Lindsey Wilson College (92-85). The Warriors have struggled offensively through their first 10 contests as they have registered a 38.8 field goal percentage and a 67.2 free throw percentage. Senior Jaylon Myles has been the Warrior's go-to thus far with 118 points through 10 games while shooting 42% from the field. Chinecherem Anukaenyi leads the Fire defense with 10.5 rebounds per game and a total of 63.

The receiving votes Warner Royals come into this week holding a 6-3 overall record and a 3-0 SUN record and are coming off of a 0-2 weekend at The Show after falling to IU Kokomo 85-69 and Indiana Tech 58-54. On average, the Royals record 77.8 points per game and shoot 47% from the field. Darryl Mercer has been the leading scorer for the Royals with 130 points and an average of 16.3 per game while Blaize Darling Jr. leads the team in rebounds with 54.

As a team, the Fire currently average 89 points per game and are shooting 49.3% from the field. Minix has been a force for the Fire and averages 22.3 points per game and a field goal percentage of 57% and leads the team with 178 points through eight games and five double-doubles.
Jordan Gorman has been steady from three point range after going 19-38 from distance. Off the bench, Reggie Messidor has recorded 82 points in 140 minutes.
