LAKELAND, Fla.—A pair of Southeastern University football players were named to the Academic All-District Team for NAIA District 1, as chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Wide receiver
Myles Henderson and offensive lineman
Cody Rand were both selected to the team. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be in at least their third semester at their current institution with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 and be a starter or key reserve on their team.
Henderson, a redshirt senior wide receiver from Daphne, Ala. was the team's leading receiver with 41 catches for 434 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games. He had a catch in every game and had five games with five or more catches.
Rand, a sophomore from Dade City started all 10 games at tackle and helped the Fire rush for 1,414 yards this past season and was an All-Mid-South Sun Division selection in 2020 as a freshman.
The Fire finished the 2021 season with an 8-3 record and were co-champions of the Mid-South Sun Division for the first time since 2018.
