LAKELAND, Fla.- The men's soccer team of Southeastern University will compete in their final regular season match of the 2021 season this weekend as they face off against Sun Conference opponent, Thomas University, at home at 7 p.m. with Senior Day festivities taking place before the match.

The Night Hawks of Thomas University will come into the weekend with an overall record of 5-8-1 and 1-5-1 in TSC play after recently breaking a six game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over Florida Memorial. Collectively, the Night Hawks have been outscored by their opponents 31-21 and average 1.5 goals per match. The TU offense has managed 13 shots per game and is led by Regan McLaren who has recorded six goals and eight assists through 13 games played. Defensively, Stephen Douglas has registered 51 saves on 71 shots faced.

Despite the history record leaning in favor of the Night Hawks at 9-5, the last meeting between these two teams ended with a 2-0 Fire victory on February 15
th, 2021 which was highlighted by
Eric Ugarte's first goal of the season.

The Fire are coming off of a 1-0-1 week which included a 0-0 tie in two overtimes against the No. 4 nationally ranked Keiser University followed by a 3-2 victory over Ave Maria as they now hold a record of 9-3-4 (3-2-2 TSC). Offensively the Fire have found the back of the net 39 times and average 2.4 goals per game and a .562 shot on goal percentage.
Julian Hall leads the squad with 10 goals through 14 games played.
Carlos Curado is coming off of a nine save effort at Keiser which tied his career high and advanced his season total to 32 through eight games.
