LAKELAND, Fla.- The No. 10 ranked Southeastern University women's soccer team will have the opportunity to advance their 1-2 Sun Conference record this week as they take on two TSC opponents in No. 22 St. Thomas on Thursday in Miami, Fla. and Florida Memorial at home on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Bobcats hold an overall record of 7-2-2 and a TSC record of 2-1-1 and are coming off of a 1-1 week where they took a 2-1 loss to Webber International followed by a 7-0 shutout of Warner University at home. As a team the Bobcats have outscored their opponents 38-8 and currently average 3.45 goals per game with 126 of their 231 shots being on goal. Miranda Ferradaz and Katharina Jullich have been the two largest offensive contributors with Ferradaz netting a team high five goals as well as three assists. Jullich has been a part of nine goals for the Bobcats with four goals and five assists. Melanie Lefebvre has recorded 32 saves on 40 shots faced and ranks No. 9 nationally in wins with seven. th, 2020 saw the last matchup between these two teams as the Fire took a 5-1 victory over the Bobcats at home.
The SEU soccer complex will then play host to the 0-9 Florida Memorial Lions on Saturday and will look to advance their 10-1 all-time record against the Lions. The Florida Memorial unit has managed 14 shots on goal this season for a .378 shot on goal percentage and an average of four shots per game. Amealia Smith leads the Lion offense with a team high two goals.
The 7-3 Fire currently outscore their opponents 28-15 and average 2.8 goals per game with Senior
Aisha Solorzano leading the Fire with seven goals and seven assists.
Shara Randez has been a part of 10 goals this season with four goals and six assists. This week's Defensive Player of the Week,
Holly Eddins, has registered 29 saves and six wins through her ten games played.
