The Southeastern University Fire Volleyball team (14-10, 3-3 TSC) went 1-1 in their match-ups last week, beating Webber International 3-1, and dropping their match against St. Thomas 3-0.

Sandy Cao led the way receiving Sun Conference Attacker of the Week honors with 33 kills, averaging 4.71 kills per set, and adding five service aces. Holly Kaczmarek defended the back row and led the team with 34 digs. Alexandra Postlethwaite led the team in assists with a total of 75, averaging 10.71 assists per set.Â

Fire set to return to action this week with back to back road games before returning home. The Fire will face Warner University (10/13, 7 P.M.) and Trinity Baptist (10/14, 3 P.M.) on the road before hosting Keiser University at the Furnace on October 16th at 2 P.M.

The Warner University Royals currently sit at 4-14, 0-7 TSC coming off a 3-1 loss to Webber International.Â

Players to keep an eye on for the Royals are: Alexandra Gonzalez who leads the team in kills with 88, Becca Mack who leads the team in assists with 209, and Alyanna Correia, the team leader in digs with 220. The last time these two teams met, The Fire came out on top with a 3-1 victory clinching the match with a 33-31 win in the fourth. Cao led the way with 21 kills.Â

The Trinity Baptist Eagles are currently 0-15, dropping their most recent match against Wesleyan College in a tough 3-2 performance.Â

Players to watch on the Eagles are: Triniti Snead, the team leader in kills(40), Maggie Bourgholtzer, team leader in assists(105), and Morgan Wells who leads the team in digs with 135. Southeastern are 2-0 against the Eagles this year winning both matches at home 3-0.Â

The 14-17 (4-3 TSC) Keiser University Seahawks dropped their most recent match against Coastal Georgia 3-0.Â

Anna Lea Kuster leads the Seahawks in kills with 263, averaging 2.35 kills per set. Brooklyn VandeHei is the team leader in assists and service aces with 613, averaging 5.47 assists per set, and 34 service aces. In the back row, Ryelle Cox currently leads the Seahawks in digs with 471, averaging 4.21 digs per set.Â

In the previous meeting between SEU and KU, the Seahawks were victorious in a five set thriller in West Palm Beach, Fla. The Fire hit .205 as a team and registered ten blocks in the match.Â
