LAKELAND, Fla.- The No. 16 nationally ranked Southeastern University women's basketball team has hit its stride in Sun Conference play. The Fire are a perfect 9-0 in the league and are currently on a 10-game season win streak as well. SEU took care of business in its lone contest this past Thursday, defeating the Warner University Royals 84-61. This week, Southeastern looks to withstand a busy week with three TSC contests on the docket.

FIRE FOCUS:
-Southeastern currently ranks ninth in the NAIA in field goal percentage defense (.340), 11
th in fewest points allowed per game (55.923), 12
th in team field goal percentage (.453), and 15
th in steals per game (13.462).
-Sophomore forward
Haley Howarth continues to lead the way for SEU, averaging a team-best 13.7 points per game. Howarth tied her season-high in three-pointers made this past Thursday versus Warner with six.
-Graduate forward
Gabrielle Ozoude has three double-doubles in TSC play this season. She is averaging 13 points and 7.5 rebounds coming off the bench in 11 contests this year.
-Saturday's game versus Keiser will be a "We Back Pat" game, where ticket proceeds will be used to help benefit the Pat Summit Foundation in their research towards fighting and finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
ALL-TIME SERIES:
-The Fire lead the all-time series versus the Night Hawks 16-10 and are currently riding an impressive 10-game win streak in the rivalry. SEU defeated TU 68-47 earlier this season on December 15 in Thomasville. Howarth had 21 points in the victory.
-SEU has won six-straight versus STU in the all-time series. Southeastern stifled St. Thomas 67-36 in The Furnace earlier this year on December 10. Ozoude scored 15 points and hauled in eight rebounds in the win.
-Southeastern has won 10-straight versus Keiser, having not lost to the Seahawks since January 26, 2016. SEU downed KU 77-60 in West Palm Beach earlier in the season on November 19.
Bekki Kalaydjiev led the way for the Fire in that win with 17 points.
THE NIGHT HAWKS:
-Thomas earned its first win of the season last Thursday, when the Night Hawks defeated the College of Coastal Georgia Mariners 69-64 at home.
-Senior guard Alisha Clayton had a dynamic day for TU, scoring 12 points and bringing in 11 rebounds in the win over the Mariners.
-Senior guard Alexis Powell leads Thomas in points per game on the season at 12.8.
-Senior forward Destiny Reed is averaging eight rebounds per contest over her last four outings.
THE BOBCATS:
-St. Thomas saw its four-game win streak snapped on the road in West Palm Beach this past Saturday, as the Bobcats fell to Keiser 77-56.
-Freshman guard Brooke Bogatz had a team-leading 21 points coming off the bench for STU in the defeat.
-STU ranks 21
st in the NAIA in total rebound margin per game (7.909) and 27
th in offensive rebounds per game (15.091).
-Senior forward Keaubree Edwards is averaging 7.7 rebounds per contest over her last three performances.
THE SEAHAWKS:
-Senior guard Emily Patton led the way for the Seahawks in their big 77-56 win over St. Thomas on Saturday, scoring 20 points, hitting five threes, and dishing out three assists.
-Patton was named TSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance. On the season, she leads KU in points per game (17.7) and three-pointers made (40).
-Senior forward Antigonie Sanabria is averaging 13 points per game and a team-leading 6.5 rebounds per contest for Keiser.
-Keiser is 5-1 on the road in Sun Conference play this season.
