LAKELAND, Fla.—After picking up a pair of wins a week ago, the Southeastern University men's basketball team continues play this week with two road Sun Conference matchups. The Fire (10-5, 4-4 TSC) travel to take on Warner University on Thursday, January 14
th before heading down to face Ave Maria on Saturday, January 16
th.

FIRE FOCUS:
- Balanced scoring was key in SEU's two victories as the Fire had a least four players put double-digit scoring totals in both games.
-Southeastern snapped a three-game skid against conference opponents with their 66-56 win over Webber International.
- Sophomore guard
Reggie Mesidor increased his scoring average to 15.3 PPG after last week's contests. He's also averaging 1.87 steals per game, good for fourth in the Sun Conference.
- The Fire held Great Lakes Christian and Webber International to under 40% shooting from the field. They are currently holding opponents to shoot just under 40% from the field on the season and rank 20
th in the NAIA in that category.
- Southeastern has made 145 threes this season, the 14
th best mark in the NAIA.
ALL-TIME SERIES:
-The Fire are 10-15 all-time against the Warner Royals and lost 102-76 in their most recent matchup on December 14
th. The Royals shot 60.7% from 3-PT range in their victory, compared to their 36.4% from beyond the arc on the season.
- This will be the first time Ave Maria and Southeastern meet this year. SEU has had success against the Gyrenes with a 17-6 all-time record and have won six of the last ten meetings.
THE ROYALS:
-Warner enters this week as the top team in the conference with a 5-2 record against TSC opponents.
- They narrowly took down Ave Maria 85-82 in their most recent outing on January 9
th.
-Joseph Martz and Jaquez Dickerson turned in solid performances against the Gyrenes scoring 18 apiece.
-Rod Boggan is the leading scorer on the season for Warner, averaging 18.3 PPG.
THE GYRENES:
-Ave Maria enters this week with the ninth best scoring offense in the NAIA, scoring 1,351 points through 17 games this season.
-The Gyrenes hold the top spot in the conference in shooting percentage, hitting 47.6% of their field goal attempts.
-Fernando Salsamendi is the team leader in points and rebounds, averaging 17.4 PPG and 9.3 RPG.
