Box Score Lakeland, Fla.- The Southeastern University Fire moved to 5-0 on the season today as they claimed the 5-0 victory over the Webber International Warriors in Babson Park, Florida.
The Fire have been off to a hot start this season coming into the match with an undefeated record. After a slow first half ending without a score from either team, the Fire turned it on in the second half scoring two goals within two minutes.
Anne-Clara Couturier got the scoring started in the 59
th minute with her first goal of the season aided by a
Victoria Moran assist. The Fire quickly tacked on an insurance goal with
Aisha Solorzano netting her seventh goal of the season off of a double assist by
Brianna Luna and
Naira Lopez in the 61
st minute.
"Playing on small fields can be very frustrating, and that sure was the case today," said coach
Alan Berrios. "We knew going into the game Webber was going to sit back and make it tough to play. Credit to Webber for being disciplined defensively in the first half. We made some adjustments in the second half and finally broke their defensive plan down."

Anne-Clara Couturier was dominate for the Fire earning her first collegiate hat trick plus some. Couturier came into the match without a goal on the season and left with four after scoring three more times in the 71

rd, and 83
rd minute aiding the Fire in their 5-0 victory over the Warriors.
"It was a great response from our team, and a great day for our freshman forward, Anne," said Berrios. "We will now prepare for Ave Maria."
The Fire return to the pitch next on October 3
