Lakeland, Fla.- Southeastern University improved their record to 4-1 tonight after taking a 3-1 victory over the Warner University Royals.

After a slow start and a first half goal by the Royals the Fire went into the second half down 1-0. The Royals got the scoring started with a goal in the 31
st minute. The Fire returned to the pitch a different team in the second half and
Skylar Funk was able to find the back of the net on a
Julian Hall corner kick 59 minutes into the match tying it at one a piece. In the 67
th minute
Lucas Nishioka gave the Fire the lead off of a beautiful free kick around the wall of Royals defenders. Insurance came in the 82
nd minute in the form of a
Paulos Beraki goal that snuck through the legs of the Royals goalkeeper securing the 3-1 victory for the Fire.

Skylar Funk stated, "Nothing was really falling through for us in the first half tonight. The shots were 15 to 3 going into halftime so we felt like we had some momentum going into the second half and were able to capitalize on that momentum."

Clay Roberts also commented on the come from behind win tonight stating, "I'm really proud of my team for winning a Sun Conference game at home tonight. One of our goals is to be undefeated at home this year so tonight was a good step. The guys had a ton of shots tonight and I'm really proud of the way they responded after going down a goal."

Southeastern will look to improve to 3-1 in Sun Conference play when they face St. Thomas University on September 30
th at 7 p.m. in Miami Gardens, Fla.
