WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—The Southeastern University men's soccer team fell behind early and couldn't keep pace with the Keiser Seahawks as they drop their first match of the season 6-2. The loss moves the Fire to 3-1 on the season with a 1-1 record in conference play.
Keiser outshot the Fire 11-2 in the first half and 12-5 in the second half as Southeastern struggled to create opportunities throughout.
The Seahawks scored three goals in each half before the Fire were able to get on the board.
Colin Horn prevented Southeastern from getting shutout when he netted two quick goals in the 81
st minute of play. The first found the back of the net after Horn fired a shot from 25 yards out, while the second was assisted by
Joshua Ruckdeschel.
Goalkeeper
Carlos Curado started the game and recorded four saves in 64 minutes of play while
Jonathan Wojciki finished the remainder of the match and recorded a save in his first action of the season.
The Fire have a couple of days to regroup before taking on the Warner Royals on Saturday, September 26
th at 7:30 pm at the SEU Soccer Complex.
