LAKELAND, Fla.- The No. 4 Southeastern University baseball team continues to blitz its way through the Spring Break slate, downing the Judson University Eagles 10-0 to win their 19
th-straight victory and improve to 20-1 on the season.
The SEU offense set the tone early, powering nine runs across the plate on 13 hits through the first three innings of play.
Senior infielder
Abdel Guadalupe got the onslaught started in the bottom of the first, towering a two-run shot over the center field wall. The home run was Guadalupe's 10
th of the season, tying him with
Cristian Martin for the team lead in long balls.

Sam Faith singled home
Colton Onstott later in the frame to put the Fire ahead 3-0 heading to the top of the second.
RBI singles by
Zach Cornell and
Colton Onstott put SEU ahead of JU 5-0 in the bottom of the second.
Senior outfielder
Carter Bridge led off the bottom of the third with a solo home run, his third dinger of the season. Cornell left the yard later in the frame with a three-run no doubter into the atmosphere of right field. The home run was Cornell's eighth of the year.

Freshman left-handed pitcher
Zack Comins impressed in the starting nod, striking out five, surrendering four hits, and walking none in four shutout innings of work.
"I pitched last weekend and didn't do as well as I would have liked so I thought today was good for me to get back out there and get my confidence up," shared Comins. "My fastball, my cutter, and my changeup were all working at the same time."
Comins improved to 2-0 on the season with the winning decision.
Junior lefty
Cody Hawthorne shined in relief, striking out six over two frames of shutout relief.
Freshman right-handed arm
Coley Embry cemented the shutout for Southeastern with a scoreless top of the seventh in his collegiate debut.
"I just threw the ball over the plate and let the defense work and they took care of the rest," commented Embry as he received a postgame cooler bath and his teammates lifted him on their shoulders.
The Fire continue to play at Ted A. Broer Stadium on Friday with a single-game versus the Robert Morris University Eagles. First pitch is set for 12:00 p.m. The Fire will play as the visiting team on the scoreboard.
