Lakeland, Fla.- The Southeastern University men's soccer team advanced to 6-3 on the season (4-3 TSC) tonight after taking a 5-1 victory over the Florida Memorial Lions at home.

The Fire were looking to bounce back after their tough loss yesterday against Webber International when they fell 2-1 and dropped to 3-3 in the Sun Conference.

The home team took control of the game early and was able to maintain control throughout. After a foul by the Lions in the 25
th minute, the Fire capitalized on a free kick by

Randy Otoo finding the back of the net for the first time this season to put the Fire up 1-0. Later in the 48

Grayson Wilkes extended the Fire lead by two after netting his second goal in as many games.

Aitor Granero tacked on some insurance when he forced a breakaway down field and was able to beat the Lions keeper in a one on one matchup giving the Fire a 3-0 lead with 38 minutes left in the half. The Fire began to run away with the match after yet another goal this time off of the head of sophomore

Jonathan Wojciki was the winning goalkeeper with four saves.

The Lions were able to avoid the shutout after finding the back of the net with less than 15 minutes left to play, securing the Fire's 5-1 victory.

The men will be back in action Wednesday, October 21
st when they take on the Keiser University Seahawks at 7 p.m. on their home pitch.
