Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla.- The Southeastern University men's soccer team generated scoring chances early and often, but struggled to finish them. The Fire fell to the Webber International University Warriors 2-1 in The Sun Conference Men's Soccer Game of the Week.
The Warriors found the back of the net for the first time in the 24th minute to take a 1-0 lead over the Fire.
SEU responded by limiting the WIU chances and controlling much of the possession for the remainder of the first half. Southeastern out-shot Webber International 7-3 in the first half, including 3-2 on goal. Despite this advantage, the Fire still trailed the Warriors 1-0 heading into the half.
The Fire generated a number of chances via set pieces in the second half, earning five corners throughout the final 45 minutes of play. However, the Fire were still unable to capitalize on the scoring for the majority of play.
WIU tacked on a pivotal insurance goal in the 81st minute to take a 2-0 lead.

Aitor Granero was saved the Webber International keeper as time expired in regulation. Granero finished the contest with a team-high five shots and three shots on goal.
The Fire look to bounce back on a quick turnaround, as they host the Florida Memorial University Lions at the SEU Soccer Complex tomorrow night. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
