LAKELAND, Fla.—The Fire closed the home portion of their 2019-20 dual meet schedule with a 43-6 victory over Brewton-Parker to improve to 15-7 on the year.
Of the nine matches won by the Fire, just two were decisions; the rest resulted in bonus points for the hosts.
In his final match at The Fire Pit, fifth-year senior
Olson Delisca won by second period technical fall, racking up 16 points.
Dylan Chatterton also wrestled his final match at home, and also picked up a technical fall just 2:23 into his match.
A couple of underclassmen had a chance to shine after the intermission with true freshmen
Coleman Bryant and
Drew Bowker winning by first and second period falls, respectively.
Blake Rypel wasted no time racking up 16 points and a first period technical fall at 197, and
Silas Root picked up a win in his final match at home, winning 2-0 at 285.
The Fire return to action on February 9
th against Division II squads Emmanuel and Mount Olive.
