WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—The Fire wrestling team set a program record for dual meet victories in a season with an 45-2 win over Keiser, and nearly picked up another first.

Southeastern won its 13th dual of the season over the Seahawks, but was within a point of the first victory against Life in program history, losing the dual 16-15. The Running Eagles are currently third in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, and finished second last weekend at the NWCA National Duals.

Trailing 6-0 after two matches, Jaquan English picked up a late takedown to defeat No. 5 Julian Hernandez in a 6-3 decision. Hernandez upset three Top 10 opponents last weekend.

A 2-0 decision by No. 3 Dylan Chatterton over No. 8 Osvani Ley followed by Kyle Kirkham scoring a 7-4 decision in his season debut over No. 12 Sid Ohl tied the match at nine.

Coleman Bryant bumped up to 184 to pick up a 4-2 decision in the first tiebreaker to tie the match at 12, then Alton Meeks picked up his second straight Top 5 victory with a 4-0 decision over No. 5 Andre Bissainthe which sent the match to tiebreaker criteria at 15-15.

The Running Eagles won on the third criteria of most individual match points, 40-37.

Against Keiser, the Fire won the first seven matches, getting bonus points in all but one. At 285, Silas Root closed the day with a first period fall for his ninth win of the season.

Southeastern returns to action next Saturday at home against Cumberland University at 10 a.m.
