Football Continues to Rise in NAIA National Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The Southeastern University football team continues to rise up the national ranks. The Fire climbed three spots in the latest installment of the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll to No. 12.

SEU earned a 44-27 win over Campbellsville University this past Saturday to improve to 3-0 on the season.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.

The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 25 points for each first-place vote, 24 for second-place and so on through the list.

Fellow Mid-South Conference Sun Division member Keiser rose two spots in the rankings to No. 22.

The Fire open up Sun Division play this Saturday at Victory Field against the Ave Maria University Gyrenes. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
