Fire Softball Heads to West Palm Beach

LAKELAND, Fla. – The Fire softball team is set to compete against Sun Conference rival Keiser University this week. Southeastern will travel to West Palm Beach on Wednesday to play the Seahawks in a doubleheader.

The Fire:

• The Fire are averaging 3.78 runs in the first games of conference doubleheaders, holding a 6-3 record. However, are 1-8 in the second games of series and only average 1.40 runs.
• Southeastern ranks second in the NAIA for total putouts (929) and total innings pitched (309.20).

The Seahawks

• Keiser is on a four-game winning streak, beating TSC foes Ave Maria and Webber International in doubleheader competitions. Three of the four wins have been by a single run.
• The Seahawks rank 11^th in the NAIA for total doubles (76) and 15^th for total hits (381).
• There are eight individuals from Keiser with a batting average greater than .300 in conference play and overall in the season.
• The team is batting an average of .342 overall and .301 in conference. Senior shortstop, Larrissa Ostrander is leading the team with .394.
• Leading the team and the Sun Conference in RBIs is senior, Avery Miller with a total of 42 on the season, averaging at least one per game.
• Another KU player who leads TSC is freshman, Lexi Northway with a total of 35 stolen bases. Northway ranks fifth in the NAIA for total stolen bases.
