Time: 5:00 p.m.
Location: Lakeland, Fla. (The Furnace)
Game Coverage: Live Updates- @SEUFireWBB on Twitter, Live Stats/Video- https://portal.stretchinternet.com/southeastern/

The Fire:
  • Southeastern is looking to become the first women's Sun Conference team in the league's history to win four straight tournament championships.
  • The Fire have come out victorious in 60 consecutive contests against TSC teams by an average of 31.8 points. During the stretch, only one team has managed to score 75 points on SEU (Florida Memorial on January 12th of this year).
  • In all but five games this season, at least three Southeastern players have notched double digits in scoring. Four players average double figures for the year, while the team shares the ball by leading the country in assists per game (21.3).

The Lions:
  • Florida Memorial advanced to the semifinal matchup after a 76-70 win over Ave Maria on the road Tuesday evening.
  • The Lions have outscored their opponents in every quarter this season, but hold their slimmest margin in the third quarter (+16). The third quarter will likely play an important part in Friday's game, as SEU's margin in the third is their highest of any quarter (+258).
  • Kanesha Battle leads FMU in scoring (20.6 ppg) due to her effectiveness shooting the ball from behind the arc. The junior has connected on 101 attempts this season, averaging 3.5 makes from three per game (fourth in the NAIA). Battle ranks 10th in the nation in 3-pt shooting percentage (43.7%).

All-Time Series:
  • The Fire and the Lions have met a total of 20 times since Southeastern joined the Sun Conference in 2009. SEU has won 16 of the past 17 meetings in the series.
  • The last time these two teams saw each other was February 14th, where Southeastern won by a score of 93-60. Makenzie Cann and Marlena Schmidt each had 20-point games for the Fire, while Battle had 23 for FMU.
