NORTH MIAMI, Fla.—The Fire volleyball team picked up its 10
th Sun Conference win of the season with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-10, 25-17) win at Johnson & Wales, assuring it at least a top four finish in the conference standings.
SEU finished with a .267 hitting percentage as a team, peaking in the second set with 14 kills and just two errors to hit .387. The attack was balanced with
Courtney Krause leading the way with 10 kills and
Emily Boehlein added nine.
Sarah Castillo dished out a total of 36 assists.
On defense, the Fire recorded 60 digs on the 108 total attacks by Johnson and Wales, and held the Wildcats to a hitting percentage of -.009. Southeastern also recorded six blocks with Boehlein and
McCall Baker in on four each.
The Fire will be home on Wednesday against Warner for Senior Day.
