LAKELAND, Fla.—Avenging its regular season loss to SCAD-Savannah has the Southeastern University men's soccer team in The Sun Conference semifinals for the third time since 2015.
Julian Hall's goal in the 100
th minute on Saturday gave SEU its third-straight TSC postseason victory with a 2-1 win over the Bees in Hardeeville, S.C. It was Hall's third of the season and third game winner of his career.
Keiser finished the regular season strong with three straight wins over Webber International (6-1), Ave Maria (12-0), and Warner (3-1). Adrian Camacho Castro is the top scorer at 12 goals in 15 games, and Ciro Damine, a year removed from Sun Conference Player of the Year honors, is second with nine.
In the regular season meeting, Southeastern won 2-0 over the Seahawks with
Jake Van Der Luit breaking a scoreless tie in the 51
st minute and
Craig Barker intercepting a pass and driving it into the back of the net in the 72
nd.
That was one of eight shutouts recorded this season by the Fire.
The Fire are 1-1 against Keiser in the postseason since 2015, winning the 2015 semifinal in overtime, and falling in a 1-0 game in 2016 in West Palm Beach.
