Volleyball Heads On The Road For Two TSC Matches

LAKELAND, Fla. - The Southeastern women's volleyball team has won eight straight conference games and look to advance their winning streak this week against College of Coastal Georgia and Johnson & Wales. The Fire are 18-7 overall on the season and 9-3 in-conference play.

THE FIRE

  • Southeastern has an eight game winning streak in conference play, their last defeat was against Coastal Georgia 3-2 on September 25th.

  • Senior, Yorelis Rios Gonzalez leads the team and conference in digs per set with 5.6. She has recorded a total of 432 digs on the season. Rio Gonzalez is ranked 20th in the nation for digs per game (5.6). 
  • Puerto Rico native, Rios Gonzalez also leads CCGA with 29 aces on the season.
  • Coastal Georgia ranks second in the conference with 42 sets played, earning a total of 494 assists, averaging 11.8 assists per set.
  • CCGA has also recorded 530 kills in-conference play, with an average of 12.6 per set. They rank second in TSC for kills per set.
