WALESKA, Ga.—The Southeastern wrestling team dropped a pair of ranked duals, wrestling shorthanded at Reinhardt University Sunday.
The Fire lost 33-12 to the hosts, and lost 46-4 to No. 5 Cumberlands.
Luis Peguero picked up bonus points with a second period fall of Jacob Henderson of Reinhardt, and wrestled sixth-ranked Eric DeLuse of Cumberlands well, coming up three points short.
Jake Watters and
Silas Root picked up decisions against the Eagles with Root winning 6-5 in the third tiebreaker.
Stephen Kelle came up with SEU's lone points against the Patriots with a major decision.
The Fire will have two more duals coming up on Saturday in Mt. Vernon, Ga. against Midway University and Brewton Parker College.
