LAKELAND, Fla.—The Fire volleyball team will play on the road Wednesday before returning to The Furnace on Saturday during its third week of Sun Conference play.

SEU has dropped just five total sets this season, with three coming in one match to Reinhardt.

Since that 3-2 loss to Reinhardt, the Fire have won each of their last four matches by the score of 3-0, and have hit .250 or better in three of the four.

In three conference matches, Emily Kalmink has posted a .238 attack percentage, and has registered nine total blocks. Saturday, against Keiser, Kalmink posted five kills and six blocks. Her .328 season hitting percentage ranks 39th nationally.

Wins against Coastal Georgia have been hard to come by, especially in Brunswick. The Mariners have posted a record of 38-4 at home over the last four seasons. However, one of those four was to Southeastern last October, with the Fire winning 3-0.

The top two setters in The Sun Conference will be on display Wednesday night as SEU's Courtney Krause is second in the league at 9.9 assists per set, and Coastal Georgia's Ashley Kot leads the league at 10 assists per set.

The Fire will host Johnson & Wales on Saturday at The Furnace. In their third season of competition, the Wildcats have already posted five wins in 12 matches this season, after totaling eight in the last two seasons combined.

Sophomore Savannah Swenson is the top threat, averaging 2.8 kills per set with a .215 attack percentage, and has a team-best 25 aces, and averages just shy of three digs per set.
