In their second to final game of the 2018 season, the Fire are slotted to face off against the Keiser University Seahawks for the first time.

Both teams have had their successes and failures this season, each of them losing three games. Despite these setbacks, they have reached the end of the season with winning records, both teams even managing to beat the ranked Webber Warriors.

This game also marks a special occasion for another SEU sports team. During halftime, the Fire baseball team will be presented with their rings for winning the National Championship earlier this year. The team went 59-7 in the spring, defeating four former national champions in the postseason.

Back to football, the Fire are still riding the waves from their Homecoming victory last week against Edward Waters. The win was a shutout, the final score 44-0.

Bryan Bell remains the number one run player on the team, with a net total of 684 yards over the course of seven games played. This averages out to nearly a hundred yards a game. Bell has also scored six touchdowns for the Fire.

Antwain Adams is the go-to reciever on the Fire offence, the junior veteran netting 621 yards off of 48 receptions. He has made it into the end zone six times.

At quarterback, three separate players have started for the Fire. Ryder Litten has seen the most action, playing in eight games for 1182 total yards, and scoring 12 touchdowns. Elijah Oltean and Cooper Jones are second and third in statistics, respectively, Oltean with 461 yards and five touchdowns, and Jones with 206 yards and three touchdowns.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Fire are quickly becoming a top contender, ranking second in the conference in passing defence. Linebacker Lamon Trent is still the leading tackler for the Fire, with 79 total tackles, 31 of them solo. Also making waves is defensive back Cory Rahman, who has intercepted the ball six times this season for 91 yards. Rahman is currently ranked 3rd in the conference in total interceptions.

For being a first year team, Keiser has proven themselves a contender in the Mid-South Conference, going 4-1 in conference play.

Offensively, quarterback Eli Matthews leads the Seahawks with over 1824 yards passing and rushing. Keiser's first quarterback has also scored the team 15 touchdowns. Also on offense for the Seahawks are running back Marques Burgess, and tight end Jaylen Arnold. Burgess has run for 625 yards, and Arnold has received for 405. Together, the two of them have scored a cumulative 12 touchdowns.

The Keiser defense is headed by Ronnie Bennett, who has 58 tackles in this first season, 28 of them solo. Keiser also has a contender for interceptions. Sage Chen-Young is currently tied with Rayman with six interceptions, and has also been recognized by the conference for his efforts, tied for third in interceptions with Rayman.

Game time is at 7 p.m. at Victory Field
