After a three game week that resulted in a two wins and one loss, bringing their season record to 5-1, the Fire are coming back home to face off against Johnson & Wales University Wildcats before traveling to to play the Keiser University Seahawks on Saturday.
Josiah Barsh is the Fire's top scorer, with 109 points over five games, with an average of 21.8 points a game. Barsh is also the player with the highest total points in a single game, with 33. Barsh has been stellar at the free throw line this season, making 37 of his 38 charity tosses this season.
Ismael Celestin and Linwood Ross are the number two and three scorers, with 75 and 58, respectively
Dylan Causwell leads the team in total rebounds with 30, and the highest total defensive rebounds with 24.
On the opponent's side, Johnson & Wales has had another rocky season this year, with a record of 0-6 in the first few weeks. Dwayne Adams is their leader in both scoring and assists, with 77 points and 15 assists. Jacknelson Joseph has the highest rebound count for the team at 28.
The Fire's second opponent, Keiser University, has undergone a drastic reversal in performance since last year. They began the year with a new coach and only six returning players, and are sporting a 1-6 record. It's quite a different team than the one that made a run for the Sun Conference championship last year.
Andrija Matic is the Seahawks top offensive player, with 94 points scored in seven games played. Matic is also their leader in rebounds, with 23 offensive and 37 on defense. Marko Orlic leads the team in defensive plays, with five blocks and nine steals.
The game against Johnson & Wales is Nov. 29 at 7 p.m., and the Keiser game is Dec. 1 at 4 p.m.
