LAKELAND, Fla.—The Fire volleyball team will head to Miami for a pair of conference matchups this weekend. Southeastern will face reigning conference tournament champion St. Thomas on Friday night before battling Johnson & Wales on Saturday afternoon.

The Bobcats:
- After a poor start to the year, St. Thomas has captured four of its last six competitions, righting the ship to begin Sun Conference play. During a four-game homestand, STU took each of the TSC competitions, quickly improving to 4-1 in the league.
- Krista Kolbinskie played a vital role in the Bobcats' conference success so far, topping the team in aces (17), kills (142), and digs (134). The graduate transfer from Arkansas ranks third in the conference in aces per set (0.5) and fourth in hitting percentage (.268).
- Kolbinski, who has recorded ten or more kills in eight of her last ten matches and each her last six, also ranks 23rd in the nation in kills per set (3.8).
Previous Meetings:
- The Fire and the Bobcats have met 21 times since Southeastern joined the Sun Conference in the 2009 season. Of the 21 competitions, St. Thomas has taken 15.
- Earlier this season, the Fire swept the Bobcats in the Furnace (26-24, 25-23, 25-20), marking SEU's first win in the series in the last nine regular season competitions.
- The Bobcats hold a 6-2 advantage over SEU when the game is played in Miami Gardens.

The Wildcats:
- Johnson & Wales enters the week with an 8-11 record overall following three triumphs in the team's last six matches.
- Last week, the Wildcats claimed their first conference win in program history, a sweep of Ave Maria on the road. The victory gave the Wildcats the most wins they have ever had in their short four-year history.
- JWU ranks second in the conference and ninth in the country in service aces per game (2.2), led by Savannah Swenson (0.4 aces per set- fourth in TSC). The sophomore captains the Wildcats with 29 aces and 191 kills, while second on the team in digs (183).
- Setter Vanessa Orozco has also been a bright spot for the Wildcats, recording a team-high 438 assists, including 31 in the win over AMU. The freshman averages 6.5 assists per set, which ranks third in the conference.
Previous Meetings:
- Since Johnson & Wales started a volleyball program three years ago, the Fire and the Wildcats have met five times. SEU has swept each of the competitions.
- Most recently, Southeastern defeated the Wildcats on September 22nd in the Furnace by scores of 25-20, 25-16 and 25-19.
