#15 Southeastern Aims to Bounce Back Against A Pair of South Florida Squads

LAKELAND, Fla. - After suffering consecutive losses for the first time this season, the Fire are preparing for a fresh week and an opportunity to regain the top spot in the Sun Conference standings.  Southeastern travels to Miami to clash against top seeded St. Thomas and host last year's conference runner up, Florida Memorial.

The seasoned senior leads the Fire in the distribution category with 80 assists. That figure positions Reese 23rd in all of NAIA Division II basketball in total assists. The Fire bench has provided steady contribution in the past four contests. During this span, they are averaging 22.5 ppg. Isaac Barsh and Ryan Atkins recorded double-doubles throughout the past two contests. I. Barsh tallied 10 points and 10 rebounds against Coastal Georgia, while Atkins managed 26 points and 11 rebounds against Thomas. I. Barsh leads the glass cleaning efforts for the Fire and ranks 5th in all of NAIA DII in offensive rebounds per game (3.75). St. Thomas is currently riding a three game winning streak, with their most recent win coming against Warner, 89-79. The Bobcats lead the all time series against the Fire 13-5. Five Bobcats average double-digit points. Tim Sada leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.8 ppg. Raheem Bowman is the team leader in rebounding, collecting 138 boards while averaging 14.1 ppg.
