LAKELAND, Fla. – The Southeastern softball dominance continued with a sweep of Keiser on Saturday afternoon. The games put them over The Sun Conference hill as they have just three more regular season doubleheaders to play. St. Thomas is next to enter the ring.

COLLECTIVE EFFORT: Eight of nine Fire hitters notched at least one hit in the game-one 5-0 shutout of Keiser. Half of those hitters had multiple hits including
Anna Martin who was 3-for-3 with an RBI.
Cheyenne Blaha was 1-for-3 but led in RBI's with two. In just her third game back from injury, she sent her second homer of the season over the center field fence for runs four and five. The Fire notched an impressive 13 hits to the Seahawks' five in the win.
SILENT THREAT: Emily Bryant began her senior season on the Fire's pitching staff, but, as roles changed, she found herself in the hitting lineup for the first time on March 18
th against MidAmerica Nazarene. In that game she went 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI's and has seen the plate in 13 of 17 games since. In the Fire's most recent sweep of Keiser she was 3-for-3 all day with two RBI's and a run scored.
LAST TIME THEY MET: Southeastern swept St. Thomas in Miami Gardens on April 25
th in its last regular season matchup of the season.
Brittany LaCasse single handedly secured the 2-1 game-one win with solo homers in the sixth and eighth innings. Game two ended 8-0 in five innings.
Anna Martin was 3-for-3 with three runs scored in the win.
THE BOBCATS: St. Thomas has claimed four of its last six TSC games including its most recent sweep of Warner. The Bobcats beat the Royals 2-0 then 3-0 to move to 5-3 in the league; a performance good enough for third behind Southeastern and Webber. Freshman infielder Meghan Riddle is a force by the numbers as she leads the team with a .442 batting average. Her 32 runs and seven doubles are also team leading figures while she is second in RBI's (15) and stolen bases (11).
